NextNote Display — full interface, not connected

Available Helpers Bar

The top-left section lists all NextNote Helpers discovered on the network via Bonjour. Each Helper appears as a card showing its machine name and current state (Stopped, Editing, or Presenting) along with its role (Main, Backup, or None). Click a card to connect to it.

Use Add Helper to manually add a Helper by IP address if automatic discovery fails or if the helper is on a different network segment. The Disconnect button removes the currently selected helper.

Presentation Details Panel

The right-hand panel shows the presentation filename, slide number, any builds or media timers.

The Toolbar

The toolbar is divided into four labelled sections, each controlling a different aspect of the system:

Layout
Layout toolbar section

Controls how slide content and notes are arranged in the main view. Includes Above, Below, Left, Right, Notes-only. These are defaults — each layout is then customisable. You can also turn on/off current or next slide using the Settings popout, or save the layout using the Memory popout.

PowerPoint Control
PowerPoint Control toolbar section

Sends standard slide navigation commands to connected Helper(s): First, Prev, Hide, Show, Next, Last. You can choose to control some or all available helpers. The Web Remote is also enabled or disabled here.

Prompter Control
Prompter Control toolbar section

Controls the teleprompter: Pointer position & style, Scroll Up, Stop, Scroll Down.

Styling
Styling toolbar section

Opens the Typography panel for adjusting the font, size, and line spacing of speaker notes. Keywords allows custom words to be placed in {{ }} and highlighted or coloured.

Main Content Area

The large central area shows the current slide and speaker notes in the selected layout. When no Helper is connected it displays the Not Connected placeholder.

Once connected and a presentation is running, this area updates in real time each time the presenter advances a slide.

Status Bar

The bottom-left corner shows the connection state at all times.

Output Windows

Use the toolbar buttons at the top-right to open dedicated output windows:
