Installation & Requirements
Get the NextNote Helper installed on your PowerPoint machine and the add-in connected to PowerPoint.
System Requirements

Windows LiveView hardware requirements
LiveView uses hardware-accelerated H.264 video. On Windows, use a current manufacturer graphics driver and compatible Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD graphics hardware.
- NextNote Display: hardware H.264/AVC decoding through DirectX 11 is required for LiveView.
- NextNote Helper: hardware H.264/AVC encoding through NVIDIA NVENC, AMD AMF, or Intel Quick Sync is required for LiveView.
- Slides and notes: current-slide images, next-slide images, and speaker notes remain available when LiveView is not used.
Before you begin: Make sure PowerPoint is fully closed before installing the add-in. Installing while PowerPoint is open will require a restart.
Downloading the Helper
Download NextNote Helper from the NextNote website. NextNote is completely cross platform.
macOS
Download the DMG file, open, and drag NextNote Helper.app to the Applications folder.
Windows
Download the setup file and run it to install NextNote Helper.
Installing the PowerPoint Add-In

Close PowerPoint
Ensure PowerPoint is fully closed before proceeding.

Launch NextNote Helper
When NextNote Helper is first opened it will check to see if the Add-In is installed. If it can't be detected you will be prompted to install it. On Mac you may be prompted for your administrator password. On Windows the installation is automatic.
Windows only: Bonjour is required and you will be prompted to install this as part of the first run process if it is not already present on your system.

Restart PowerPoint
Launch PowerPoint. You will see the NextNote tab in the ribbon. If prompted to enable macros, click Enable.
Uninstalling
To remove the add-in, open the Helper and select Uninstall Add-In with PowerPoint closed. To fully remove the Helper, delete it from your Applications folder (Mac) or Programs Folder (Windows).
